Employment Law Soundbite

The Government has announced that free Covid tests for all will end on 1 April 2022.

Also from 1 April, the use of Covid passports will no longer be recommended and employers will no longer have to consider Covid as a separate risk when working out how to keep employees safe.

Therefore, employers will need to decide on whether to change their policies regarding self-isolation for staff.  Other matters to consider are whether employers will continue to require staff to take regular Covid tests, and if not, any circumstances where employees will be expected to take tests.  Where employers decide that they do want testing to continue, they will need to consider budgeting for the cost of those tests.

If you want any help with grappling with these issues, and/or putting in place a Covid policy, please get in touch with us.
