Menopause and the workplace
Menopause specialists, Health & Her, have found that 10% of women leave the workforce due to the menopause and 1 in 4 consider leaving because of the intensity of their symptoms. We are also seeing increased Tribunal claims from women who claim that they have been dismissed or discriminated against due to menopause (brought as either an age, disability or sex discrimination claim). Older women offer many benefits to companies, with their wealth of experience and adding to increased diversity.
