Karen Sanderson, who founded Bradshaw Trees Law, has worked with every type of company/business over her career as a solicitor, since 2003.  Bradshaw Trees Law acts for a diverse range of businesses, from large employers to businesses with a couple of employees.

Bradshaw Trees Law aims to provide a cost effective, pragmatic and commercial service to all sizes of businesses requiring employment law support.

All the solicitors in our team, who have all previously worked in large law firms, are highly experienced in dealing with the employment issues facing businesses every day.

We have set out a brief overview of the type of services we can offer businesses but we are always available to chat through the services your specific business requires.

  • Employment processes – we can help guide you through disciplinary, poor performance, sickness absence, reorganisation and redundancy
  • Employment related complaints and grievances – we can help guide you through the full range of complaints brought by employees, including difficult discrimination and whistleblowing complaints
  • Investigations – for smaller businesses with no HR function (or an overstretched HR function), we can take over investigations into disciplinary or grievance issues for you.  Please note that we cannot advise on the process at the same time we conduct investigations.  If we are advising your business on the process, we are always happy to source someone appropriate to carry out the investigations
  • Tribunal claims – we can represent business in defending any claims brought against them by either ongoing or former employees, and help you devise the right strategy for your business to handle those claims.
  • Strategy – we can help you devise your strategy for dealing with all manner of employment related issues, from a complete reorganisation to dealing with problem employees
  • Settlement agreements – if you are parting company with one of your employees, we can help you with the negotiations with your employees, guide you through the process and provide you with the documentation you require to comply with the law
  • TUPE/Outsourcing – we provide advice and assistance on TUPE consultation processes, as well as assist with employment due diligence on corporate transactions, and draft/negotiate TUPE clauses, employment warranties and indemnities in the contractual documents
  • Training – we have a package to suit your business needs, from a standard management training program or equal opportunities training to bespoke training to deal with a specific need
  • Reviewing contracts and staff handbooks – we can review your existing documents and recommend changes to comply with the latest legislation and ensure that you have the flexibility you need
  • Drafting employment related documents, such as service agreements, contracts of employment, offer letters and policies or full staff handbooks
  • Helpline – if your business would benefit from a dedicated helpline for employment issues as and when they arise, we can provide this
